WGG in the paper: Growing Greener Campaign Kicks off by Andy Stettler
Please join Wissahickon Growing Greener for a LOCAL FOOD FORUM June 11th, 6:30pm, Wissahickon Valley Public Library-Blue Bell
Eating locally produced food will
- increase nutritional value of food you eat
- limit pesticide intake
- support your local economy
- preserve open space
- reduce fossil fuel consumption
A presentation will be made on why eating local food is so important.
- You will be given resources for shopping and eating locally.
- Local farmers will be available to answer questions.
- We will be giving away a WGG rain barrel, A Composter from Whole Foods, and a Variety Pack of Meats from Breakaway Farms.
